In data architecture at PwC, you will focus on designing and implementing the structure and organisation of data assets within the organisation. Your work will involve developing data models, defining data standards, and establishing data integration frameworks. You will assist in confirming that data is stored, accessed, and utilised efficiently, enabling seamless data flow across systems and supporting effective data management practices.

You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team member’s unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. With your growing knowledge of how business works, you play an important role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our Firm. PwC is looking for a Data Architect to join our Cloud & Digital practice. The ideal candidate would have a technical background and 4+ years proven experience in technology enabled business transformation projects and programmes.

Qualifications / Certifications required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field and / or Certifications such as:

  • AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Google Professional Data Engineer
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
  • IBM Certified Data Architect – Big Data

Experience required:

  • 5-7 years of experience in data architecture, data management, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex data systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong background in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices.

Responsibilities of role:

  • Design and develop data architectures to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data strategies and solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee data migrations and integration projects.
  • Optimize data systems for performance and scalability.
  • Document and maintain data architecture models and guidelines.
  • Mentor and support junior data architects and data engineers.

Skill sets required:

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Cloud Platforms: Expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Data Integration: Experience with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
  • Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor teams, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to stay updated with the latest data technologies and adapt to new challenges.
