Job summary

Rory Mackie & Associates, on behalf of a global asset manager, seeks a Data and Valuations Specialist to join the Data Management Team within Investment Administration. The role centers on instrument valuations and reference data setup, supporting the Team Leader in delivering objectives.

You will execute and review instrument, portfolio and trade data, manage daily asset pricing, and assist with risk and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• B.BusSc /BCom Finance or equivalent with practical understanding of investment management and administration processes.
• 3 to 5 years' experience as a Data/Valuations Specialist or similar role.
• Good working knowledge of systems used to support investment administration and portfolio management activities.

Responsibilities

• Execution and review of Instrument, Portfolio and Trade related data across Order Management and Fund Accounting systems.
• Execution and maintenance of daily asset pricing processes (price scrubbing and execution of OTC instrument valuation models).
• Exception management and query resolution in respect of reference data set-up and asset pricing breaks.
• Execution of cash management, daily margin requirements and collateral management oversight.
• Form part of a team responsible for first line support in respect of data management, asset pricing and trade related queries.
• Assist and maintain team risk framework across procedure documents, controls review and incident reporting.

Overview:

Our client, a global asset manager, is seeking a Data and Valuations Specialist to join the Data Management Team within the Investment Administration area of the business. The role requires the incumbent to spend their time focused on Instrument Valuations and Reference Data setup. The role also requires the incumbent to support the Team Leader in delivery of varying objectives.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• B.BusSc /BCom Finance or equivalent with a practical understanding of components of the investment management and administration processes
• 3 to 5 years' experience as a Data/Valuations Specialist or similar role
• A good working knowledge of systems used to support investment administration and portfolio management activities
• Above average Excel skills with InvestOne and/or Bloomberg experience an added advantage
• Exposure to mechanics of Fixed Income and Derivative instrument valuations advantageous.
