Job description

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will provide Postpaid Pricing & decision support to the commercial and marketing team through the modelling and analysis of costs, revenue, and other financial parameters to develop competitive pricing and product strategies. The role is also responsible for managing the Postpaid Product portfolio, identifying potential revenue leakages, and opportunities to improve profitability and revenue growth. Additionally, the role will handle ECL modelling and proactive statistical analysis of data from various sources, interpreted for relevance and application to CEC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Pricing

  • Help determine competitive pricing strategies to gain market share and achieve revenue goals.
  • Analyze data from multiple sources, develop complex pricing models, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop sales strategies.
  • Assess data from various sources to gain insights into pricing strategies and market trends.
  • Analyze competitor pricing and market trends to increase market share and profitability.
  • Track customer engagement to develop effective pricing strategies for products and offerings.
  • Apply statistical modelling methods to assess the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability.
  • Recommend pricing strategies aligned with market trends and identify new market segments.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing departments to develop and implement competitive pricing strategies.
  • Develop dynamic pricing tools to respond effectively to changing market needs and trends.
  • Prepare and present pricing analysis findings to executives, marketing teams, and sales staff.
  • Stay informed on pricing analysis methods and industry trends.
  • Keep abreast of market developments related to pricing and product strategies.

Product / Portfolio Review

  • Manage the product portfolio in line with CEC strategic objectives.
  • Develop monthly product reports.
  • Analyze the product portfolio and identify opportunities for revenue growth or potential leakage.
  • Perform competitor analysis on products and pricing, and present outcomes, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with the Cell C product development team to implement product changes and enhancements.

Financial

  • Forecast revenue and market share based on market trends, production costs, profit margins, and sales volumes.
  • Take responsibility for the ECL model, working with the Finance team to maintain and update it.

Self-Management

  • Set an example through personal quality and productivity standards and collaboration with others.
  • Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures.
  • Plan and prioritize, managing competing demands effectively.
  • Anticipate and manage change proactively.
