Job summary

Network Recruitment is seeking a data engineer in Johannesburg to design and maintain data pipelines supporting reporting and analytics. You will work with data from databases and APIs, ensuring data quality and consistency across platforms, while supporting data integration and warehouse processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in data science, computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of data-focused experience.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a data-focused role
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
