Humankind Group is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Lead to provide technical and operational leadership within a dynamic data analytics environment. The role drives data strategy execution, oversees analytics and engineering initiatives, mentors technical teams and leads strategic projects across data warehousing, optimisation, automation, BI and data science.

The successful candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership, stakeholder engagement and project delivery

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering or BI.
• Strong experience in SQL and query optimisation.
• Proven experience with data warehouse design and ETL processes.
• Exposure to Data Science and ML initiatives.
• Experience with cloud technologies and modern data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor data analysts and data scientists, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Provide guidance on analytics methodologies, dashboards, data storytelling and best practices.
• Design and oversee scalable analytics solutions, data models and reporting frameworks.
• Develop and maintain enterprise dashboards, KPI frameworks and self-service analytics capabilities.
• Optimise data queries, analytics processes and reporting performance.
• Support cloud-based analytics initiatives and integration of multiple data sources.
• Lead analytics and BI projects from requirements gathering to implementation.

This role will be responsible for driving data strategy execution, overseeing analytics and engineering initiatives, mentoring technical teams, and leading strategic projects across data warehousing, optimisation, automation, business intelligence and data science.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership, stakeholder engagement and project delivery capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years' experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering or Business Intelligence.
• Strong experience in advanced SQL and query optimisation.
• Proven experience with Data Warehouse design and ETL processes.
• Exposure to Data Science and Machine Learning initiatives.
• Experience working with cloud technologies and modern data platforms.
• Proven team leadership and project management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Must have Financial Services or Payments industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain data governance, quality and reporting standards.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, privacy and security across analytics environments.
• Drive strategic analytics initiatives involving AI, predictive analytics and automation.
• Develop advanced analytics use cases and proof-of-concepts to support innovation.
• Support executive leadership with strategic insights, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Champion continuous improvement and the adoption of modern BI and AI tools.
