As the Digital Data Analytics Specialist for KFC Africa, you will be responsible for driving data-driven decision-making across the organization's digital platforms and initiatives.

Job Description

Leveraging your expertise in data analysis and insights, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, optimize digital performance, and deliver actionable recommendations that enhance the overall customer experience. This role plays a vital role in driving business growth and customer satisfaction by transforming raw data into valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data analysis and insights: Gather and analyze data from various digital channels, including website traffic, mobile apps, social media, and online ordering platforms. Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Provide regular reports and dashboards on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders and management.
  • Customer behavior analysis: Analyze customer behavior on digital platforms to gain insights into user preferences, engagement patterns, and pain points. Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to understand customer segments, data funnelling, data architecture, current data tools and assets as well as customer personalisation needs.
  • A/B testing and optimization: Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests to optimize digital assets, user flows, and customer journeys. Provide recommendations based on test results to enhance user experience and drive conversion.
  • Digital campaign performance: Monitor and analyze digital campaign performance, providing recommendations based on test results to enhance user experience and drive conversion.
  • Website and app performance: Monitor and analyze website and app performance, including page load times, navigation patterns, and user interactions. Identify opportunities for site/app improvements to increase user engagement and conversion rate.
  • Data visualization and reporting: Create clear and compelling visualizations to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Prepare and present reports to management, providing actionable recommendations for digital strategy.
  • Data governance and quality: Ensure data integrity and accuracy by collaborating with IT teams on data governance and quality control processes.
  • Competitive analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to understand industry trends and benchmarks, providing insights to stay ahead in the market.

Stakeholders

  • All key ideas and core decisions to be consulted with the CDIO; however, on a day-to-day basis, the interaction could include KFC Africa Staff, Senior management and Leadership; Franchisees; Product Manager; Operations Manager/Specialist; Delivery Excellence Manager; BI Manager; Marketing team; IT team; H/W and S/W vendors; Technology/Digital vendors; Yum!/YRI global teams; Digital and Marketing Agencies.
  • Nature of communication - Business and Partner Alignment, delivery management.

Working Model

  • Work from home is possible; however, 70% should be on site as we stabilize the teams.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in digital data analytics, preferably in the Retail, Food Service, or related industries.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.
  • Data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
