Data Analyst

A dynamic and vibrant player in South Africa's life insurance industry, who is passionate about life insurance and skilled in applying these principles to create products that better meet clients' needs, is searching for a Data Analyst.

This candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide valuable insights and support strategic decision-making within the organisation.

You will collaborate closely with various teams across the company to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities that drive operational efficiency and improve customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Gather and consolidate data from multiple sources, including internal databases, external APIs, and third-party vendors.
  2. Cleanse, validate, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  3. Utilise statistical techniques and data mining algorithms to analyse large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
  4. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  5. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data to inform business decisions.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and priorities.
  7. Provide analytical support and insights to assist in the development and implementation of business initiatives and process improvements.
  8. Advocate for efficient and effective processes within the ICT team, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements.
  9. Ensure that ICT solutions and services meet the needs and expectations of internal and external customers, championing a customer-centric approach within the ICT team.
  10. Implement risk mitigation strategies, and ensure business continuity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Degree in a related field.
  • Additional qualifications in Data analysis are advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications or training in Excel.
  • Proven experience in Data Analytics, preferably within the ICT or insurance sector.

The reference number for this position is NG. It is a contract position based in Johannesburg, offering a salary from Rk to Rk cost to company per annum, negotiable based on experience and ability.
