ATS Client is seeking a motivated Data Analyst to support data collection, processing, analysis, and reporting to help drive business development, operations and efficiency. This entry‑level role suits someone with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

You will work with Excel, SQL, Python/R and BI tools to transform data into actionable insights and create dashboards for stakeholders. This position is based in Pretoria with on‑site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Matric is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
• Previous internships in data analysis or BI preferred.
• 2+ years experience in internal sales.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
• Familiarity with Python, R, or similar.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Valid driver's license & own transport essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Extraction
  • Gather data from various internal and external sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and web applications
  • Assist in automating data extraction processes to improve efficiency
• Data Cleaning & Preparation
  • Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies, missing values, and outliers
• Data Analysis
  • Conduct basic statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and correlations
  • Use tools like Excel, SQL, Python, or R to analyse data sets and generate reports
• Reporting & Visualization
  • Create and maintain dashboards, charts, and other visual representations of data using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel
  • Prepare and present reports to senior analysts and other stakeholders
• Collaboration
  • Work closely with senior analysts, data engineers, and other departments to understand data needs and provide support
  • Participate in meetings to discuss findings and recommend actionable insights
