SUMMARY :

A global client in the logistics industry is seeking a Data Analyst for a 6-month contract. This role requires expertise in advanced Excel skills for data analysis, report creation, and delivering insights to enhance trading strategies.

POSITION INFO : Requirements :

• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, analysis, or similar roles.
• Proficiency in SQL is essential.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Familiarity with the mining industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in data management tools and software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities :

• Enter raw data from various sources into the database.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions (Vlookups, formulas, SUMIFs, Pivot Tables) to clean, analyze, and present data.
• Format and clean data for analysis.
• Generate and deliver reports.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.
• Develop and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets, models, and templates for data analysis and reporting.

Data Collection :

• Gather, validate, and record essential data from operational points, including transporters, mines, and in-country teams.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into reporting templates.

Data Analysis :

• Process and interpret data to provide actionable insights.
• Use predictive analytics to forecast trends and challenges.

Reporting :

• Create comprehensive reports based on analyzed data.
• Deliver reports promptly to stakeholders.

Communication :

• Coordinate with in-country teams to streamline data collection and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond professionally to stakeholder queries and feedback.

Quality Assurance :

• Conduct regular data audits to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify improvements.

Continuous Improvement :

• Participate in training, workshops, and meetings to stay updated on data management best practices.
• Suggest and implement process improvements based on feedback and evaluations.
