We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our data capture and validation initiatives across multiple source systems.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset, experience in data analysis, and a commitment to high-quality standards through collaborative review.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and accurately capture data from a variety of source systems.
2. Perform rigorous data testing to ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
3. Conduct peer reviews of other team members' data capturing work as part of a 4-eye principle approach.

Key Requirements:

• Experience analyzing credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
• Ability to predict default probability or creditworthiness using models.
• Experience using machine learning and anomaly detection to identify suspicious transactions.
• Skills in customer analytics, segmenting customers based on behavior, demographics, or product usage.
• Ability to identify high-value clients or cross-selling opportunities.
• Experience in financial forecasting & budgeting, predicting future revenues, expenses, or cash flows.
• Scenario analysis for planning and strategy.
• Knowledge of regulatory & compliance reporting, ensuring adherence to financial regulations (e.g., Basel III, MiFID II).
• Experience automating reports to regulators using structured data pipelines.
• Analyzing market trends, asset performance, and portfolio risk.
• Back-testing trading strategies or constructing optimal portfolios.
• Operational efficiency skills, such as streamlining processes like loan processing or claims handling.
• Monitoring KPIs and performance dashboards.

Package & Remuneration:

Rate: R .47 per hour

Contract: 6 Months
