Job summary

Network Contracting is seeking a Data Scientist III in Centurion, Gauteng. You will lead complex data science initiatives on a long-term project, partner with senior stakeholders, and mentor other data scientists while delivering scalable, production-ready analytics that directly impact business outcomes.

You will guide enterprise-scale analytics, translate problems into models, and oversee a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring data quality and model performance.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in CS, Stats, Math, Eng or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification advantageous.

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile:

Education:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification advantageous

Experience:

• 3–8+ years of development experience
• Experience working on full stack projects
• Experience in a retail, commercial or IT environment – (highly desired).

Skills:

• Expertise in SQL, Python, Tableau, MatLab, and Large Datasets, Excel, R, Low Code skill, Generative AI, RAG – (essential).
• Statistical modelling, machine learning and predictive analytics
• Strong data storytelling and communication skills
