As part of the Data Team, we deliver information to the company that is timely, accurate, reliable, and relevant. Our information is utilized across the entire business, from front-facing customer hosts to executives. Ongoing analysis and evaluation of results is a daily function. This role involves working closely with clients, providing analytical insights, and making data-driven recommendations to support business objectives.

What you'll be doing

Responsibilities include:

• Performing statistical and data analysis.
• Extracting relevant data from various internal and external sources for analysis.
• Manipulating and analyzing raw application data from various systems to derive meaningful insights.
• Developing and conceptualizing new reports and dashboards based on business needs.
• Investigating and monitoring data trends proactively.
• Conducting financial analysis and supporting data-driven business decisions.
• Providing strategic recommendations based on data insights.
• Providing training and education on data systems, reports, and analytical outputs.
• Delivering ad hoc data services and analytical consulting to clients.
• Collaborating closely with the Product Manager and Engineering team to understand business objectives and key metrics.

Essential skills

Required skills include:

• A graduate/postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Mathematical Statistics, or similar).
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a data-related field (data engineering, data analytics, BI, etc.).
• 2 years of experience in a Data Analyst or BI Analyst role or similar.
• Strong understanding of relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and the Microsoft BI stack or equivalent.
• Expertise in report writing and visualization technologies.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Interest or experience in data mining technologies.
• Experience in analytical research/methodologies.
• Strong math and stats skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong client interaction skills.
• Ability to interpret data for business decisions.
• High attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities.

Desirable skills

It would be advantageous if you also have experience with:

• Advanced statistical methods (regression, hypothesis testing, time series, machine learning).
• Tools like R, Python, SAS, or SPSS.
• Data mining technologies.
• Cloud-based data platforms.
• ETL processes.
• Big data tools like Hadoop or Spark.
• Sports betting markets, odds calculation, betting types, and industry trends.
• Online gaming or casino industry experience, understanding player behavior and regulations.
