Job summary

WatersEdge Solutions is seeking a Data and AI Engineer to blend data engineering with governed AI. The job spans ELT pipelines, Fabric-based data workflows and Python automation, with governance and human review integral to processes.

You will work in a Microsoft-centric stack including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SSRS, Python and Azure DevOps, supporting AI workloads and data quality across the platform.

Qualifications

• 1 year of hands-on data engineering or analytics engineering in production.
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills with complex transformations.
• Hands-on Python for data prep and automation tasks.
• Demonstrable Microsoft Fabric experience with at least one pipeline or Lakehouse.
• Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps workflows and governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain batch and incremental ELT pipelines across SQL Server, Azure SQL and Fabric.
• Write and optimise T-SQL with stored procedures, views, CTEs and reconciliation queries.
• Build and maintain Fabric pipelines, Dataflow Gen2, Lakehouse and Warehouse assets.
• Support dimensional modelling and Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver, Gold.
• Manage orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, logging and alerting for data jobs.
• Develop Python automation for data prep, embedding and indexing for AI workloads.
