Job summary

De Heus Animal Nutrition seeks a high-energy sales-focused professional to promote our animal feed range and provide technical support. You will build strong client relationships, visit farms and dealers, and ensure monthly and annual sales targets are met while understanding nutrition principles in our product ranges.

The role requires experience in selling and marketing, plus Excel/Word proficiency, and driving capability. A proactive, results-oriented approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• B Agric / B.Sc. Agric is required.
• 3 year Agricultural diploma is required.
• Possession of a valid code 08/EB driver’s license is required.
• SACNASP registration as Professional Natural Scientist is desirable.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Milling background experience is preferred.
• Experience in selling and marketing is required.
• MS Excel and MS Word proficiency is expected.

Responsibilities

• Sell and support the De Heus Animal Feed range to current and prospective clients.
• Achieve monthly and yearly sales budgets per customer and maintain 5 level classification.
• Build and maintain customer relationships and visit customers regularly to grow sales.
• Monitor pricing trends monthly and add value by understanding customer needs.
• Understand animal nutrition principles and technical aspects of De Heus feeds.
• Write quarterly articles and collect monthly production figures from feedlots.
• Participate in study groups and trade shows; handle administration and reporting duties.
• Manage outstanding debtors and ensure timely and accurate reporting to management.
