Job Title : Accountant (6 Months Contract)
Location : Sandton (Hybrid)
Job Description
Role Profile : The purpose of this role is to support FNZ SA finance function, including month-end activities and various day-to-day processes.

This role reports to the Finance Manager and requires attention to detail and good communication skills to maintain high reporting standards.

The successful candidate should possess a working knowledge of accounting standards and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Month End Processing :
  • Assist with the preparation of month-end journals
  • Review bank reconciliations
  • Review accruals and prepayments monthly
  • Assist in expenditure review across the ledger
  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts
Intercompany :
  • Prepare intercompany recharge workings and raise invoices
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts monthly
  • Liaise with regional finance teams to resolve discrepancies
AP / AR Processing :
  • Review purchase orders
  • Process staff expense claims
  • Handle bank payments
  • Prepare and post sales invoices
  • Communicate with customers regarding invoices

Additional responsibilities include contributing to ad hoc tasks as assigned by senior team members.

Experience Required :
  • Qualified (SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, SAICA, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards through experience or audit
  • Experience with finance software (e.g., Nav or D or similar) and data analytics software (e.g., Qlik, PowerBI)
  • 7-8 years of accounting experience
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with various stakeholders
