Job summary

The Centurion-based organization is seeking an Information Security Specialist to join an established IT team. You will implement and maintain security controls to protect information assets, work with IT operations to ensure policy compliance, and contribute to a secure computing environment through proactive monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.

This hands-on role requires a Bachelor's degree in IT or Cybersecurity and 2–3 years in information security, familiarity with ISO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of experience in an information security role.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 or NIST.
• Knowledge of common security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Proficiency with security monitoring tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security solutions including firewalls, antivirus, and access control.
• Monitor network traffic and system logs for threats and anomalies.
• Respond to security incidents, investigate, and document findings and remediation actions.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of information security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security awareness training for employees.
• Support IT in implementing security measures for new systems and applications.
