Job summary

Network Contracting is building an IT talent database and is seeking experienced Cybersecurity Specialists for opportunities in Johannesburg. You will monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and work with teams to remediate vulnerabilities.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years in SOC, experience with SIEM like Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk, and knowledge of threat detection and secure network practices.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field advantageous.
• Cybersecurity certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts and incidents.
• Identify and analyse potential cybersecurity threats.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and security monitoring.
• Assist with incident response and remediation activities.
• Investigate suspicious activities and security events.

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile:
Education

• Cybersecurity certifications will be advantageous.

Experience

• 3–6 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Experience within a Security Operations Centre will be advantageous.
• Experience with SIEM technologies.
• Experience with vulnerability management.
• Experience with incident response and investigation.
• Understanding of network and application security.
