Job summary

ATS Client in Johannesburg is seeking a Specialist Cybersecurity Consultant to join our technical consulting team. You will work with enterprise clients across industries, performing risk assessments, security architecture reviews, and deployment of security controls.

The role offers hybrid and remote options (client dependent), exposure to cutting-edge security technologies, and ongoing professional development and certification support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within Cybersecurity, Information Security or IT Security.
• Strong knowledge across Network Security, Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, Active Directory, Identity & Access Management, Cloud Security (Azure and/or AWS), Vulnerability Management and SOC.
• Hands‑on experience with one or more of the following tools: Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Nessus, Qualys, Splunk, Rapid7.

Responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity risk, vulnerability, and security posture assessments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Support incident response, digital forensics and cyber investigations.
• Implement and maintain enterprise security solutions.
• Assess network, endpoint, cloud and infrastructure security.
• Review and improve security architecture and controls.
• Produce professional technical reports with practical remediation recommendations.
• Work closely with clients to improve their overall security posture.
• Provide technical guidance and best‑practice recommendations.
• Stay current with evolving cyber threats, attack techniques and emerging technologies.
