Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor's in IT, CS, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Strong basic cybersecurity concepts.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the field.
• Located in or able to commute to Soweto daily for internship duration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from security systems.
• Assist in vulnerability scans and basic analysis of findings.
• Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
• Learn and use security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and antivirus under supervision.
• Participate in security awareness initiatives and training sessions.
• Assist with basic incident response tasks as directed by senior analysts.
• Maintain security system logs and configurations.
• Support IT in implementing security best practices.
• Shadow experienced security professionals to gain practical knowledge.
• Undertake assigned security-related projects and research tasks.
