The role focuses on foundational knowledge in information security, incident response basics, and vulnerability assessment, with mentorship and potential for future employment upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Security or Computer Science.
• Basic cybersecurity principles, networking concepts and operating systems knowledge.
• Familiarity with security tools is a plus but not required.
• Strong desire to learn and develop information security skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs for threats and anomalies.
• Assist incident response with gathering information and documenting events.
• Perform basic vulnerability scans and analyze results.
• Maintain security documentation and procedures.
• Participate in security awareness trainings for employees.
• Learn and apply security best practices under supervision.
