About the Role

Our client, a leading technology solutions provider, is seeking a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to join their dedicated security operations center in Klerksdorp, North West . This role is integral to protecting the organization's and its clients' digital assets from evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security technologies, monitoring security alerts, and responding to incidents. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and endpoint security solutions.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and security principles.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.
