Cybersecurity Governance Administrator | Johannesburg
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Governance Administrator to join the Cybersecurity team at our Johannesburg offices at ENS. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our cybersecurity and IT governance framework, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and supporting our organizational security objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity governance policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with cybersecurity policies and practices.
- Assist in security awareness and training programs.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the cybersecurity governance program.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
- Assist the team in monitoring network security issues and respond to security incidents with thorough investigations.
- Research and evaluate emerging cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies.
- Generate reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge and Skills
- 1-3 years of proven experience as a Cybersecurity Administrator or similar role.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and COBIT.
- Experience with security incident remediation.
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ / Network+, ISO Fundamentals, or SC (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) preferred.
