Placements24 is seeking a proactive Cyber Security Specialist for a Welkom-based role. You will implement security controls, monitor threats, and respond to incidents to defend systems and data in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 2-4 years of cyber security experience.
• Strong knowledge of networks, Windows and Linux security.
• Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response.
• Familiar with data privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security measures (firewalls, antivirus, IDS).
• Monitor network traffic and system logs for breaches and anomalies.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents; recommend remediation actions.
• Conduct security awareness training for employees.
• Assist in developing and updating security policies and procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and tools.
