Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist for a fully remote role, protecting the organization from evolving cyber threats while supporting operations originating from Mahikeng. You will implement and manage security technologies, analyze logs, respond to incidents, and perform vulnerability assessments as part of a security-focused team in the North West region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in cyber security.
• Strong knowledge of network, system, and cloud security.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and threat intel.
• Scripting or programming for security automation (Python, PowerShell).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and maintain security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Monitor security infrastructure and analyze logs for signs of compromise.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and coordinate remediation.
