Job summary

Network Contracting in South Africa seeks a Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement and maintain robust security controls across enterprise environments.

You will monitor threats, perform vulnerability assessments, and drive governance with stakeholders across cloud and on‑prem networks including Azure and AWS.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with SIEM, endpoint security, IAM and Zero Trust, and communicates effectively with technical and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Relevant Cyber Security certifications are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and controls.
• Experience implementing security technologies and governance.

• 46 years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, or Infrastructure Security.
• Experience implementing and managing security technologies and controls.
• Experience with vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response.
• Experience securing cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with network security, endpoint security, and identity management solutions.
• Experience working within security frameworks, governance, and compliance environments.

Skills

• Strong understanding of Cyber Security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, SIEM, Endpoint Security, and Threat Detection solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure Security, AWS Security, Cloud Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Zero Trust principles.
