Cyber Information Assurance Analyst SME - Secret Clearance

The Cyber Information Assurance Analyst SME provides IT support services for the Marine Corps Logistics Base by independently conducting complex security analyses of classified and unclassified systems to ensure compliance with security requirements. Responsibilities include conducting Command Cyber Readiness Inspections, vulnerability evaluations, and utilizing various security technologies and tools to assess the security posture of computer systems and networks. The role involves performing vulnerability and risk analyses, participating in penetration studies, defining security requirements, and recommending solutions to enhance security. The analyst gathers technical information to align with organizational goals and provides technical advice to client management on system improvements, focusing on areas like systems architecture, networking, and communication protocols. This position is on-site in Albany, GA.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Secret Clearance required and must be maintained.
• Must be eligible for IT-II clearance upon assignment.
• Tenable Certified NESSUS Auditor and CSSP Auditor Certification required.
• IAM III and IAT II certifications required.
• Proven experience in CCRI, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
• Seven (7) years of IT experience and five (5) years of IA experience.
• Two (2) years of experience with DOD Vulnerability Management System.
• Command Cyber Readiness Inspection certification in areas such as Retina analysis, boundary defense, internal defense, DNS, HBSS, security protocols, wireless communications, etc.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, network implementation, and security regulation knowledge.
• Preferred: DISA CCRI Team Lead certification and penetration testing certifications like LPT, CEH, GPEN, etc.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform complex security analyses of classified and unclassified systems for compliance.
• Conduct Command Cyber Readiness Inspections and vulnerability evaluations.
• Use security tools to evaluate system security posture.
• Perform vulnerability and risk analyses, including penetration studies.
• Define security requirements for various systems.
• Recommend security solutions and improvements.
• Gather technical information to improve security posture.
• Provide technical analysis and direction for complex systems.
• Advise management on system improvements across various areas including architecture, networking, and communication protocols.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Seven (7) years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
