Responsible for providing the direction and managing the creative process of a small specialist team.

Hello, future Customer Value Proposition Head!

This role is responsible for aligning the Retail Loans Product Set (FNB Personal Loans & Revolving Facility) VPs with the Personal and Private Segment (including prioritized Niches and Hypersegments) customer VPs and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Sub-segment, Hypersegment & Niche owners across the Personal and Private Segments to determine how best to customize / position the Retail Loans product set to support the various customer VPs.
  2. Partner with the Retail Loans Product Head to ensure the Product Development roadmap is aligned to the commitments to partners.
  3. Lead the new business development function for the Retail Loans FNB portfolios.
  4. Drive the Retail Loan's eBucks Rewards strategy.
  5. Jointly own the Retail Loans Personal Segment Income statement with the Retail Loans CEO and CFO.
  6. Optimise the New-to-Platform Credit process for Retail Loans FNB Portfolios.
  7. Partner with the Retail Loans Growth Head to optimise the sales and distribution strategy.
  8. Establishment, alignment and management of target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency.
  9. Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions.
  10. Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME's, project managers and senior staff members.
  11. Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
  12. Translate strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant projects / initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress.
  13. Implement and maintain sound business processes that minimize risk and deliver quality requirements specifications.
  14. Initiate and manage market research, data mining and quantitative analysis to ensure sustainability and future competitive growth.
  15. Explore local and international markets for new products and trademarks to expand and strengthen Retail Loans' VPs.
  16. Facilitate the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, processes and services.
  17. Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of team in order to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies.
  18. Manage own development to increase own competencies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualification: A relevant Bachelor's degree in Commerce or similar related qualification.

A minimum of 5 – 8 years in a similar environment, of which 2-3 years ideally at management level.
