Our UK based client provide professional international VAT compliance services to a variety of ecommerce businesses that range from start-ups to multi-million-pound companies trading worldwide.

A start-up founded in 2014, they have grown to a multi-million-pound company that now deliver our international VAT service to clients in over 50 countries around the world.

As an Associate Client Manager, you will be managing a small portfolio of clients and you will support them throughout the VAT cycle to ensure they are fully VAT compliant and that our commitment to excellent customer service is upheld. You will also be assisting the Client Management team with all aspects of preparatory work and also with VAT submissions so that we meet every deadline for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand clients’ VAT requirements
  • Communicate directly with clients and colleagues to ensure the collation of data is in order to complete VAT reporting
  • Prepare your own clients’ and also help other Client Managers with the preparation of VAT returns and additional VAT filings, using their inhouse platform
  • Work as a team to ensure that all VAT returns and VAT filings are submitted on time
  • Monitor current and future international VAT requirements for our clients, and help them benefit from further relevant services
  • Work closely and co-operatively with our Business Development and Onboarding teams to ensure their clients benefit from a seamless service from start to finish
  • Liaise with tax authorities and agents around the world
  • Work closely with their Client Services Administrators and provide ongoing professional development training
  • Ensure the company CRM system is updated and accurate at all times
  • Provide ad hoc customer support

Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years experience within a B2B client support role
  • Ability & willingness to learn quickly to obtain required knowledge to working with Value Added Tax and indirect taxation in the EU and globally
  • Systems/Tech savvy
  • Solid customer service focus and problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Methodical, organised and confident working skills
  • Strong team working ethic and ability to work collaboratively
  • Calmness under pressure
  • Able to readily follow defined systems, procedures and protocols
  • Genuine enthusiasm for e-commerce, finance and international trade
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic proficiency Excel (any other web-based tools advantageous)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Written and spoken fluency in English (essential) and in an additional European language (Advantageous)
