Job description

Customer Support Coordinator (ICT) – Cape Town.

Become a Customer Champion! Are you a relationship-builder with a knack for driving sales growth? We’re looking for a Customer Support Coordinator who thrives on exceeding customer expectations and contributing to the success of our team.

You need 2-3 years of experience in a customer support and/or internal account management role, ideally within the ICT Distribution industry with a proven track record of building and nurturing strong customer relationships, resulting in increased sales and customer loyalty.

Salary: R15 000 – R18 000 pm.

Area: Onsite in Cape Town.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customer accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing professional and confident customer service
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication of deliveries, ETA feedback, and other customer-related information
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for named accounts in coordination with Account Managers
  • Provide regular feedback on assigned accounts and tailor quotations to meet specific requirements
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Support the sales team by capitalizing on sales opportunities, negotiating prices, and expanding orders
  • Maintain proactive telephone contact with existing and prospective customers
  • Update the external sales team on account developments and foster strong team relationships
  • Create accurate quotations and process orders in a timely manner
  • Follow up on orders from production to delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Resolve customer complaints, issues, and queries to achieve successful outcomes
  • Generate activity reports, process relevant documents, and provide timely sales updates to management

Requirements:

  • Matriculation required; tertiary qualification preferred
  • 2+ years of sales support experience in IT distribution
  • Technologically inclined with relevant technical knowledge
  • Ability to thrive in a high-stress and fast-paced environment
  • Strong focus on service quality and customer satisfaction
  • Willingness to attend training sessions, including outside of working hours
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and administration skills
  • Strong numerical skills and ability to work with numbers
