Job Title - Customer Success Engineer - Cyber

Salary - Up to 850K ZAR

Contract - Initially 12 months

The Role

Customer Success Engineers are technical experts, trusted advisors, and customer advocates. They ensure clients achieve their desired outcomes through hands-on support, proactive guidance, and deep product knowledge. This role focuses on driving adoption of advanced security features across Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Act as the subject matter expert in deployments, upgrades, configuration, and feature adoption
  • Advise on lifecycle management and communicate product updates
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Support customers with security best practices, posture improvements, and risk assessments
  • Drive implementation strategies that align with business needs and technical goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customer stakeholders (e.g., CISOs, CTOs)
  • Product Adoption:
  • Identify innovative use cases and influence product roadmap
  • Deliver technical plans, success strategies, and advisory support

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in network/system engineering, cybersecurity, consulting, or technical support
  • Background in security technologies (e.g., Zero Trust, Threat Prevention, VPNs)
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, SSL, IPSec) and NGFW
  • Experience delivering security advisories and best practice recommendations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and customer relationships in dynamic environments
  • Familiarity with customer success platforms (e.g., Gainsight, Tableau)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., PCNSE, PCNSA, CISSP)
