Job Summary
Responsible for defining and executing insights within the business as well as understanding internal and external sources of information to ensure value creation and improved execution for the business unit, to deliver customer analysis across the business units which support business decision making, strategy development and tactical delivery.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Effective Analysis and Reporting
- Utilise external data sources to highlight insights and trends
- Apply standard market research processes or techniques to analyse data findings
- Ensure understanding of the market and how to utilise its in analysis of reports
- Ensure regular communication with stakeholders
- Understand KPI metrics and how they relate to each other
- Know how to evaluate reports, interpret and advise on outcomes
- Utilise KPI's to identify root cause for under performance or gaps
- Make recommendations on possible solutions
- Jointly agree actions with relevant stakeholders
- Make sure stakeholders are informed and updated Familiarity with data mining and statistical techniques including linear and logistical regression
- Excellent technical skills in SAS, SQL or equivalent tools
- For self-service models when required
- Good understanding of data flow

- Communication actions to relevant stakeholders
- Make changes in consultation with others
- Hold relevant individuals accountable for resolutions of agreed actions
- Continuously monitor progress of actions and push for action where necessary
- Utilise scorecard to highlight action required
- Present targets and publish scorecards
- Ensure up to date knowledge of competitors' practices and external influences that may impact on performance.
- Include this in presentations and recommendations
- Ensure adequate performance of the Business Intelligence Platform in terms of response times
- Develop a thorough understanding of the customer data available to maximise the benefit of customer insight over simple product / KPI reporting
- Understand business unit requirements and advise the best way to fulfil these with the data and tools available
- Investigate data necessary to achieve desired business outcomes
- Recommend and implement appropriate data modelling solutions to meet business requirements
- Facilitate Operational Excellence and Client Satisfaction
- Understand the expectations of stakeholders and ensure stakeholder needs are met
- Engage with operational team to facilitate and support achievement of excellence
- Support and liaise with Operations with regards to relevant business actions from insights generated
- Effective teamwork and self-management
- Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained
- Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures
