Job summary

JUMO in South Africa is seeking a Customer Data Scientist to build customer-level models including credit scores, affordability and segmentation to inform decisions across teams.

You will transform datasets, augment data, and develop features, using SQL and Python to automate processes so outputs are self-serviceable for downstream teams. You will translate stakeholder needs into deliverables and communicate insights clearly.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree with a strong quantitative component.
• 3–5 years of experience in data science or analytics.
• Experience across two roles and ideally multiple industries.
• Strong SQL and Python data wrangling skills.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to translate needs into deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, transform, augment and build datasets into features and dimensions.
• Develop customer-level models including credit scores, affordability and segmentation.
• Translate stakeholder needs into deliverables for portfolio teams.
• Derive and communicate insights to stakeholders across the business.
• Contribute to team tooling and automate processes for self-service outputs.
