Purpose of Role: The Culture, Influencer & Advocacy team will be responsible for fostering brand thought leadership and enhancing brand reputation by developing a culture strategy that defines cultural platforms, provides a framework for strategy to execution, and details in-culture strategies for all strategic brands.

This team is also charged with identifying, negotiating, and executing strategic in-culture partnerships (platforms and influencers) across the region.

Key Accountabilities: This role requires a deep understanding of current cultural trends, experiential and sponsorship marketing models, brand partnership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.

  1. Build a holistic SWC culture strategy with specific plans for all strategic brands: identify cultural platforms, build brand-specific cultural calendars, negotiate and implement experiential campaigns, and develop sponsorship & partnership models that benefit strategic brands across SWC.
  2. Grow brand MDS scores through relevant and authentic experiential marketing augmented by brand partnerships and sponsorships that build brand in-culture thought leadership embedded in marketing business plans.
  3. Develop, negotiate, and execute in-culture growth experiences, sponsorships, and partnership initiatives. Oversee the creation of compelling content tailored to engage both internal and external audiences, coordinate content distribution across various channels, including social media, blogs, and digital platforms.
  4. Monitor content performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize reach and engagement.
  5. Ensure Diageo's brands actively participate in consumer conversations by crafting captivating stories and content, driving consumer engagement, shareability, and talkability.
  6. Understand local culture, conversations, and tensions to ensure authentic brand integration into cultural spaces through stories, content, and campaigns.
  7. Lead efforts to instill an editorial mindset within the business, leveraging culturally relevant moments to drive momentum and reach, and spearhead cultural calendar initiatives.
  8. Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, including influencers, industry organizations, and community groups. Collaborate on co-branded initiatives, events, and campaigns to amplify impact. Evaluate partnership effectiveness and ROI, providing recommendations for future collaborations.
  9. Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success of culture and influencer marketing initiatives. Utilize analytics tools to track performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports for senior leadership.
  10. Develop and manage budgets for experiential, sponsorship, and partnership marketing activities. Track expenses, manage vendor contracts, and negotiate costs. Provide regular updates on budget utilization and forecasts.
  11. Provide leadership and guidance to the experiences, sponsorships, and partnerships marketing team, fostering collaboration and high performance. Identify training opportunities and conduct performance evaluations.
  12. Manage events, sponsorships, and stakeholder engagement to ensure excellent execution across the brand portfolio. This role requires at least 70% external stakeholder engagement, including weekends.

Minimum Requirements: Degree in Marketing or related field. Over 5 years of marketing experience in IPS, FMCG, or luxury goods categories. Deep knowledge of consumer conversation drivers. Proven track record of innovative thinking, leading change, and experimentation. Passion for influence & advocacy within PR, social, and content marketing.
