This is a chemical manufacturing company.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will be the following:

  1. Understand all products, what its main components are and what its applications are on the company products.
  2. Address all customer enquiries regarding specifications and pricing in a timeous manner either via e-mail or telephone call and ensure the information was accurate and helpful.
  3. Short and long-term planning is required to meet the needs of customers as well as the needs of the company.
  4. Provide technical customer service in cooperation with R&D and Sales based on identified business.
  5. Cover immediate action/trouble shooting at customers in close cooperation with R&D and Manufacturing.
  6. Orchestrate activities, including sampling, identifying problem source at the customer and reporting.
  7. Prepare technical information based on customer needs.
  8. Handle customer specification requests, and access QC data and information.
  9. Ensure product quality and performance standards meet customer needs through continuous evaluation of product performance.
  10. Identify performance requirements for new applications and products and further develop these in close cooperation with colleagues in the R&D and Manufacturing functions; thereafter lead the process of introduction at target customers.
  11. Track competitive technology and identify new products/opportunities in the market.
  12. Understand EH&S regulations and issues as related to the industry in which they are practicing.

Qualifications

  1. Matric
  2. Tertiary Qualification would be an advantage.

Skills

  1. Minimum of 3 years experience in selling waterproofing products.
  2. Sales experience in chemicals, cold chain, or good technical background from the industry.
