Your responsibilities will be the following :
- Supervise operating staff and suppliers, and ensure all activities are completed.
- Ensure equipment and site efficiencies are achieved.
- Attend to planned and breakdown maintenance, and the installation of equipment.
- Perform all work safely, ensure legal compliance, complete risk assessments, and develop safe work procedures prior to completion of work.
- Attend to production and maintenance incidents and call outs.
- Communicate with the client.
- Complete all inspections and reports for boiler house and equipment, boiler controls, optimizing boiler efficiencies, planned maintenance, and legal compliance of boiler plants.
Qualifications
- Matric
- Millwright, Electrical Trade certificate (preferably red seal) or Diploma in Electrical engineering with a strong Mechanical background
- Boiler operation and maintenance training certificates will be recognized
Skills
- 5-10 years experience in a similar position and industry.
- A strong ability to supervise boiler house staff or production staff.
- Experience with 5Y analysis, fault finding, planned maintenance, repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment, including programming of PLC and drives, and equipment commissioning.
- Competent in reading drawings, technical diagrams, and basic wiring diagrams.
- Computer literacy in MS Office and SharePoint.
- Experience in boiler servicing and commissioning will be advantageous.
