Job description

Your responsibilities will be the following :

• Supervise operating staff and suppliers, and ensure all activities are completed.
• Ensure equipment and site efficiencies are achieved.
• Attend to planned and breakdown maintenance, and the installation of equipment.
• Perform all work safely, ensure legal compliance, complete risk assessments, and develop safe work procedures prior to completion of work.
• Attend to production and maintenance incidents and call outs.
• Communicate with the client.
• Complete all inspections and reports for boiler house and equipment, boiler controls, optimizing boiler efficiencies, planned maintenance, and legal compliance of boiler plants.

Qualifications

• Matric
• Millwright, Electrical Trade certificate (preferably red seal) or Diploma in Electrical engineering with a strong Mechanical background
• Boiler operation and maintenance training certificates will be recognized

Skills

• 5-10 years experience in a similar position and industry.
• A strong ability to supervise boiler house staff or production staff.
• Experience with 5Y analysis, fault finding, planned maintenance, repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment, including programming of PLC and drives, and equipment commissioning.
• Competent in reading drawings, technical diagrams, and basic wiring diagrams.
• Computer literacy in MS Office and SharePoint.
• Experience in boiler servicing and commissioning will be advantageous.
