Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description

Your responsibilities will be the following:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within buildings and structures.
• Energy auditing and assisting with business development in pursuit of Energy Service Company (ESCO) contracts.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Electrical Engineering/equivalent
• Have a wireman’s license/registered with the Department of Labor OR in the process of obtaining one (with proof of application)
• PV Green card – Advantageous but not Mandatory.
• Desirable but not mandatory – completed CEM or CEA course.

Skills

• At least 3 years’ experience in electrical installations within energy efficiency, metering, lighting, and Solar PV Projects
• Efficiency Auditing
• Meter Audits
• Installation and programming of meters
• Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Sufficient knowledge of lighting systems, electricity smart meters, lighting control systems, Solar PV, Battery, and inverter systems.
• Understanding of energy savings
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
• Understanding of electricity metering and communication technologies
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Sufficient understanding of SANS 10142 and SANS 10114-1, SANS 10389-1, and SANS 10098-1

Package & Remuneration

Salary/Package

R35,000 – R45,000 PM
