Role Description

We are looking to appoint a CTO / Technical Co-Founder who has some startup experience.

The ideal person would come on board on equity only for a period of 6 months and would earn a full market-related salary thereafter.

This is a full-time in-person and remote role for a CTO / Co-Founder at Cognito Legal AI BASED IN SOUTH AFRICA. Johannesburg or Cape Town ONLY.

The individual will be responsible for:

1. Software development
2. Project management
3. IT strategy
4. Architecture
5. Product development

Qualifications

1. Software Development and Product Development skills; ML and LLM is KEY.
2. IT Strategy and Architecture knowledge
3. Strong leadership and team management skills
4. Experience in implementing innovative solutions
5. Ability to strategize and execute technical roadmaps
6. Experience in the legal tech industry is a plus
7. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8. The ideal person would be up-to-date with ML / LLM developments as they rapidly change.

You would also lead this department like an executive and manage your time accordingly to ensure all deliverables are addressed and handled.
