Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification required.
• CSSD CPD course is desirable.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety by providing adequate, sterile and functional equipment.
• Maintain capital equipment to minimise risks.
• Ensure cost-effective use of supplies for daily operations.
• Meet Infection Prevention and Control standards.
• Adhere to standardized workflow processes.

Skills

Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

Main Purpose of Job

To provide adequate, functional and sterilized instrument sets and packs to the operating theatre and other nursing units in the hospital.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Ensure patient safety by providing adequate, sterile and functional equipment on time.
• Ensure optimal care and maintenance of capital equipment to minimise clinical and financial risks.
• Ensure cost‑effective use of pharmaceutical stock to meet the daily requirements of the operating theatre and other nursing units.
• Ensure Infection Prevention and Control standards are met according to policies and procedures.
• Adoglio standardized workflow processes in order to minimise risks.
