Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking a CSSD Technician in Milnerton. You will be responsible for ensuring patient safety through the provision of sterilized and functional equipment, as well as adhering to Infection Prevention and Control standards. Candidates must have a Grade 12 education and preference will be given to those with a CSSD CPD course and experience. This is an on-site role with a closing date for applications on 16/09/2025.

Qualifications

Overview

To provide adequate, functional and sterilized instrument sets and packs to the operating theatre and other nursing units in the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety by providing adequate, sterile and functional equipment on time.
• Ensure optimal care and maintenance of capital equipment to minimize clinical and financial risks.
• Ensure cost-effective use of pharmaceutical stock to meet the daily requirements of the operating theatre and other nursing units.
• Ensure Infection Prevention and Control standards are met according to policies and procedures.
• Adhere to standardised workflow processes in order to minimise risks.

Education and Experience

• ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12
• DESIRED EDUCATION: CSSD CPD course
• ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None
• DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience as CSSD Technician
