Robert Bosch South Africa is looking to employ an experienced Cross Business Unit Marketing Manager (Communication and Promotion) in the Power Tools Department.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement a holistic business unit user journey in the country towards end users and retail partners based on global brand strategy marketing concepts and specific promotion guidelines in close cooperation with regional marketing functions and sales.
  2. Contribute to the steering of commercial targets.
  3. Deliver excellence in and optimization of KPIs in the country.
  4. Deliver marketing packages and train internal staff, sales, and external retail partners on marketing concepts (including new product launches) as well as new marketing tools.
  5. Plan and execute local campaigns and activations on applicable offline and online transfer prices with the regional target price responsible.
  6. Contribute to the development of promotions in collaboration with the responsible target price manager.
  7. Gain and provide user insights.
  8. Proofread and adapt marketing assets locally.
  9. Support local retailers with activations.
  10. Coordinate local agencies and external resources.
  11. Contribute to the marketing sales presentation process.
  12. Provide marketing forecasting when needed.
  13. Key stakeholders include regional business units, cross-business unit target price marketing teams, lead marketing manager, local cross-business unit marketing teams, and sales.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric and a Degree / Diploma in Marketing or related field.

Experience Required:

  • At least 7 years of experience in operational marketing in a similar environment and role.
  • Strong marketing knowledge across all promotions.
  • Functional expertise in local offline and online media activation and local agency management.
  • High expertise in branding.
  • Understanding of offline and online landscapes.
  • Effective communication skills to contextualize topics within Marketing, Sales, and User Journey management.
