Job description

a leading South African online retailer is looking for a highly talented CRM Analyst to join our team in Cape Town. We are a young, dynamic, hyper-growth company seeking smart, creative, and hardworking individuals with integrity.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Evaluating the effectiveness of CRM campaigns across channels (email, push notifications, in-app notifications, etc.) and identifying trends and insights from CRM data to optimize performance and ROI.
  2. Working with the Senior Analyst to build reports and dashboards to measure customer value, including Customer Lifetime Value, Customer Retention Rate, Churn Rate, and Cross-Sell / Up-Sell Rate.
  3. Monitoring and analyzing key performance metrics such as revenue, customer engagement, acquisition, retention, and churn rates, and generating regular reports for stakeholders and management.
  4. Conducting ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
  5. Collaborating with CRM and marketing teams to conduct A/B testing, develop insights, and optimize campaigns.
  6. Partnering with cross-functional teams to align CRM initiatives with overall business objectives.
  7. Segmenting customer data to personalize campaigns and working closely with data teams to ensure data accuracy.
  8. Providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions aimed at enhancing customer engagement and retention.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Honours degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or Marketing.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in CRM/data analysis, preferably in retail/e-commerce.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Google BigQuery, Looker, Google Analytics, R, and/or Python.
  • Experience with CRM platforms like Braze is advantageous.
  • Experience in presenting to executive management.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, predictive modeling, segmentation techniques (e.g., RFM), and marketing principles is advantageous.
