Job summary

A leading company in South Africa is seeking a skilled Creditors Manager to oversee the performance and development of creditors clerks. You will ensure compliance, maintain financial records, and improve department processes. Ideal candidates will have Grade 12 qualifications, relevant experience, and an interest in logistics.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Interest in the logistics industry will be an advantage.

  • Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating Creditors clerks or relevant creditors employee
  • Overseeing routine department activities to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete financial and supplier records.
  • Compiling, analysing, and reporting financial information to management.
  • Setting and facilitating the achievement of department objectives.
  • Developing, implementing, improving, and enforcing budgets, policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with employees, clients, vendors and Senior Management
  • Financial Compliance
  • Understand and comply with IFRS for SME’s.
  • Contribute to annual audit process for the group (pre-yearly audit meetings, coordination of Finance managers)
  • Continuous Improvement and Communication
  • Identifying opportunities by evaluating current business trends, best practise research and principles
  • Working closely with all business units to enhance and promote positive feedback loops and improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12/Matric with Mathematics and accounting as subjects.
  • Relevant tertiary education will be an advantage.
  • 3 - 5 year experience in similar role.
  • Interest in the logistics industry will be an advantage.
