Job description

Job Title: Creditors Administrator

Location: Gauteng, Pretoria

Deadline: May 24, 2025

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the creditors’ cycle from order generation to invoice matching, reconciliation, and payment.
  2. Maintain the creditors’ ledger.
  3. Reconcile the Creditors’ Ledger to the creditors’ General Ledger control account.
  4. Ensure accurate, timely, and correct recording of expenditure.
  5. Check and authorize credit and debit memos, as well as returns.
  6. Authorize creditors’ reconciliations for payments.
  7. Adhere to creditors’ payment terms to avoid penalties and interest.
  8. Prepare month-end and year-end creditors’ provision lists.
  9. Liaise with internal and external customers.
  10. Perform ad hoc functions as delegated.

Reporting

  • Provide accurate, relevant, reliable, and timely financial information for internal decision-making and reporting purposes.

Financial Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure compliance with CGS financial policies and procedures, PFMA, Treasury regulations, GAAP, IFRS.

Educational Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12) and a three-year National Diploma (NQF Level 6) with accounting as a major or equivalent.

Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in a finance environment.
  • Proficiency with AccPac or an equivalent financial system.
  • Financial administrative skills.
  • Understanding of PFMA and Treasury regulations.
  • Experience in accounting or financial services jobs.
