- Team Management : Oversee a team of credit underwriting analysts, offering day-to-day support and guidance.
- Credit Assessments : Conduct limit and rating setting, as well as re-assessments for a specific portfolio within the global oil marketing division.
- Financial Analysis : Perform detailed financial analysis, including spreading financial data and assessing credit risk appetite.
- Portfolio Management : Take responsibility for more complicated reviews involving asset valuations and financial structures (e.g., investments, loans, assets).
- Monitoring & Reporting : Monitor portfolio triggers, escalate issues as necessary, and report on credit risk performance and sector trends.
- Sovereign & Sector Analysis : Provide in-depth analysis on relevant sovereigns and sectors.
- Macro-economic Analysis : Produce and present macro-economic insights and commentary for the portfolio.
- Cross-functional Reporting : Manage global oil credit risk reporting and communication with senior stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Relations : Build strong relationships with senior management and the commercial credit team.
- Project Involvement : Participate in local and global credit-related projects.

Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree (preferably in finance, risk management, accounting, economics, or business studies).
- Postgraduate qualifications are beneficial.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) are a plus.
Work Experience & Skill Requirements :
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Credit Risk / Credit Underwriting within mining, commodity trading, banking, insurance, or consultancy.
- Financial analysis experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in coding (e.g., VBA, PowerBI, Python) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a rapidly changing team.
