Job description

As a Credit Risk Solutions Manager , you’ll play a critical part in the development, review, and audit of advanced statistical models that underpin credit risk measurement, IFRS 9 provisioning, and regulatory capital assessments. You will support high-profile clients ranging from emerging credit providers to globally systemically important banks.

You’ll also collaborate closely with Associate Directors to plan, manage, and quality?control modelling engagements—while mentoring junior team members and applying your expertise in Python, R, or SAS to build innovative, automated solutions.

What You’ll Lead

  • Develop and validate credit risk models for provisioning and regulatory capital.
  • Code and automate financial risk models using modern languages (Python, R, SAS).
  • Support project lifecycles—from budgeting to execution and close-out.
  • Interpret and apply statistical techniques to meet evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Present technical findings in a clear, client-ready format.
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture by mentoring junior analysts.
  • Help foster a coaching environment that promotes collaboration and open feedback.

What You Bring

  • Honours or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on credit risk modelling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods and contemporary modelling techniques.
  • Proven ability to code in Python, R, or SAS.
  • Track record in managing projects or workstreams in a consulting or banking environment.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and working in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder settings.
