Job Experience and Skills Required:

Join a specialist credit risk consulting team that partners with leading financial institutions across Africa. In this role, you will support the delivery of complex credit risk engagements, including model development, validation, portfolio analytics, credit monitoring frameworks, and regulatory compliance initiatives. You will work alongside a team of quantitative professionals, actuaries, statisticians, and risk specialists while gaining exposure to some of the industry’s most challenging and innovative projects.

Education:

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering, Economics, Econometrics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

Experience:

• 3-5 years’ experience within Banking, Financial Services, Credit Risk Consulting, or a related environment.
• Experience in credit risk model development and validation.
• Understanding of IFRS 9, Basel regulations, and model risk management principles.
• Strong knowledge of PD, LGD, EAD, and credit portfolio analytics.
• Experience working with large datasets and predictive modelling techniques.
• Coding experience in SAS, R, Python, or similar analytical tools.
