Job summary

H&S Labour Brokers cc is seeking a senior credit professional in Gauteng to evaluate and approve SME lending deals within delegated authority. The role requires in-depth financial analysis to assess credit quality and to structure secured lending, asset finance, and working capital solutions.

You will present assessments to the Credit Committee and monitor portfolio performance, identifying early warning signs and taking corrective action as needed.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Commerce, Finance, or Business is required.
• 3+ years in corporate or business lending, or 5–7 years in secured lending.
• Financial and commercial acumen is essential.
• Strong knowledge of credit evaluation, risk management, and collateral.
• Confident decision-maker with strong analytical thinking under pressure.

• Work closely with Legal and Business Development teams to structure and finalise secured lending, asset finance, and working capital deals.
• Present professional credit assessments to the Credit Committee, highlighting key risks and mitigations.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signs, and take proactive corrective action.

Requirements

• Postgraduate qualification in Commerce, Finance, or Business.
• Minimum 3 years in corporate or business lending, or 5–7 years in secured lending.
• financial and commercial acumen.
• Strong knowledge of credit evaluation, risk management, and collateral.
• Confident decision-maker with sound analytical thinker who’s comfortable working under pressure and enjoys problem-solving.
