Job Purpose

As a Credit Controller, your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers who have outstanding debt obligations and negotiate payment plans.

This is not just about collecting; it's about building human connections and providing solutions that benefit both Nimble and our customers. You will need to leverage strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

Key Performance Areas

  1. Collections & Productivity: Achieve and exceed individual collection targets through effective communication and negotiation. Maintain and update accurate records of customer interactions, payment arrangements, and collections actions.
  2. Customer Engagement & Negotiation: Engage with customers empathetically and professionally, negotiating payment plans that benefit both the customer and Nimble. Resolve customer queries or disputes in a timely and professional manner, ensuring client concerns are addressed effectively to avoid delays in payments.
  3. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, policies, and industry regulations to maintain ethical standards and minimise risks during the collections process.
  4. Live the Nimble Values: Contribute positively to your team by embodying our core values: making a positive impact, getting it done, seeking better ways, and doing the right thing.

Who We're Looking For

Candidates with at least 12 months of experience in outbound collections, sales, or customer service. If you are results-driven, thrive under pressure, reliable, positive, and enjoy teamwork, this role is for you.

What You Need

  • A Matric qualification (or equivalent)
  • A positive credit record and a clear criminal record
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy and system handling skills

Working Hours

Maximum 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 07:00 and 20:30. Up to 2 Saturdays per month, 6 hours per day, between 08:00 and 14:00, as scheduled.
