We have an exciting opportunity within our finance team for a Credit Controller to join us in Cape Town! This dynamic and busy role involves managing financial collections and resolving account queries. You will build and maintain close relationships with all customers, including Local Authorities and healthcare clients, ensuring smooth account operations. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to resolve outstanding payment issues.

Every day you will…

  • Timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments, maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment and resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices.
  • Meet cash and debtor targets set by the company.
  • Liaise closely with other departments within the business so that credit issues are resolved smoothly.
  • Handle disputed invoices and negotiate to bring payment within terms.
  • Answer promptly to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake account reconciliations.
  • Regularly contact customers to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary and provide updated statements.

To thrive in this role, you must ideally have...

  • Previous Credit Control Experience.
  • The ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • High level of experience with Microsoft Excel.
