Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the Credit Control function across all regions and depots.
2. Develop and implement effective credit policies and procedures in line with company objectives.
3. Proactively monitor customer accounts, ensuring timely collections and adherence to payment terms.
4. Analyse credit data and financial statements to assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
5. Collaborate closely with Sales, Commercial, and Finance teams to ensure customer accounts are well managed.
6. Initiate appropriate actions for delinquent accounts, including account hold, legal handover, or alternative payment plans.
7. Ensure accurate and timely reporting on debtors' aging, collections, and provisions for doubtful debts.
8. Conduct regular account reconciliations and resolve customer disputes.
9. Drive continuous improvement in credit control processes to improve collections efficiency and reduce bad debt exposure.
10. Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements related to receivables and credit risk.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12 Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in accounting, business, or computer science.
2. Minimum five (5) years relevant experience in FMCG.
3. Stock planning, control and management experience in FMCG.
4. Experience with billing systems and enterprise resource planning.
5. Fluency in billing systems and general ledger.
